East Meets West

I found my new favorite jewelry designer.  Amrita Singh.  As a graduate from FIT and working with Bergdorf Goodman, Oscar de la Renta and Christian Lacroix, she's been able to fuse intricate Indian style with contemporary American design.  There are so many pieces and rich colors that I love in her work.

I recently purchased this Faye Necklace.  The turquoise and gold is perfect together.

Here are a couple more pieces I really enjoy from her current available pieces:

Stuck In My Head

Ten songs I have to hear right now on my ipod or radio:

5. Wheezer - Buddy Holly
4. Leona Lewis - Happy
3. Amy Winehouse - Valerie
2. LMFAO - Scream My Name
1. U2 - Sweetest Thing

Have a great weekend!

Chef Reenie

Cooking..not something I've delved into.  If cooking was like the Rachael Ray show where everything was already diced and sliced, it'd be perfect. Instead, everytime I try to make something, I find myself hovering over a hot stove stirring while my fingers turn beet red.  While wasting time last night, I found a bunch of recipes I would love to try (theoretically speaking)

From C&C
These muffins look so good and perfect for fall!

A few weeks ago, I went with a friend to Champps and ordered the Walnut Crusted Chicken.  After having a slight freakout at how delicious it was, I searched online and found the recipe from the chef himself.

Get the recipe here.

Spaghetti and Meatballs.  Seems simple enough.  I'm still trying to find the perfect recipe for best meatballs in town.  At West End Market, they serve Meatballs but the recipe isn't available.  Until then, I can still drool over wonderful photos of meatabolls!

Top Travel Spots

With winter coming up, all I keep thinking about is a vacation.  I won't be taking one anytime soon since I've just started my new job, but that doesn't mean I can't plan for one in the future right?

Puerto Rico: I know I've already been here, but I want to go back! I want to spend more time in San Juan this time.

South Africa

Brazil: Beaches, Carnival and food!

Cabo San Lucas: who doesn't want to take a quick flight over there?

Italy: I think it really speaks for itself

Zoe Saldana - Shoes to Die For

Zoe Saldana is beyond gorgeous.  I love all the crazy shoes she wears, they really make her outfits.  So she's uberskinny and alot of looks are made for her body type.  That doesn't mean she tries to wear them all..sometimes she doesn't wear much if you've seen the new Calvin Klein ads.

Kim Kardashian works Blazers and One Shouldered Dresses

  • Kim Kardashian (with the help of Monica Rose) has really stepped up her game in the past couple years.  She can work a blazer or a skintight dress better than anyone.

Olivia Palermo - What Dreams Are Made Of

While Olivia Palermo was portrayed as an an...uptight bitch on The City, she is always put together.  I would raid her closet in a heartbeat.  I love her mix and match of expensive and affordable pieces (but mostly expensive)  Either way, I love to watch her walk the carpet.

Lauren Conrad - Simply Feminine

Some people just get it right.  They know what works for their body and what doesn't.  I've compiled some of my favorite outfits from celebrities who have it together.  The next couple of posts are about those people who get it right.  Lauren Conrad: some say her style is boring, I say comfortable and the right amount of femininity. I think her style is very relatable and easy.  credit

Splurge or Steal?

I found this from The Look 4 Less which is a knit I can't wait to buy.  It's perfect for the fall weather for errands, going out on a chilly night with the girls, or just snuggling on the couch.

Yigal Azrouel Fair Isle Knit retails for $685

Nordstrom has another option (with great reviews so far!) for $78

Splurge Or Steal?

These Rock and Republic Nikki heels retail for $325.

Amiclubwear has a great alternative with studs instead of swarovski crystals for $29.99

Room Redo

I recently moved into my apartment and I went with a blue/white theme with splashes of sublte color everywhere.  I even gave my dresser a makeover to match the scheme (the knobs are white now!)  I found some amazing rooms and ideas to help me find the things I would need in my new place.

I found this file folder to organize all my paperwork and bills.

I want this ivory ruffle duvet cover so bad!

Love the Leopard

I can't get enough of the leopard this fall.  I already own a pair of leopard heels, scarf and belt to add little touches to make it appropriate for work and then amp it up for a night out.  I'm seeing alot more options and I can't wait to get my hands on them.
